கோதண்டராமசாமி என்ற பெயரில் அழைத்தாலும் இங்கு கற்பகிரஹத்தில் பகவான் ஸ்ரீ பட்டாபிராமன் ஆவார். இவர் வீராசனத்தில் ஞான முத்திரையுடன் சீதாதேவியுடன் அமர்ந்த கோலத்தில் உள்ளார் .அருகில் லக்ஷ்மணர் நின்றபடியும் ,பரதன் ,சத்ருகன் மற்றும் ஆஞ்சேனையர் ஆகியோர்கள் கிழே அமர்ந்தபடி உள்ளார்கள் ,இக்காட்சியை காண்பதற்கு நமக்கு கோடி கண்கள் வேண்டும் . அனுமன் மகேந்திர மலையிலிருந்து சீதையை காப்பாற்ற பாலம் அமைக்கும் வேலை அப்போது அனுமனை ஏழரை சனி பிடிக்கும் நேரம் வந்தது சனி பகவானும் அனுமனை நெருங்கினார் சனிபகவான் தன்னுடன் சேர்ந்து பாலம் கட்ட வந்துள்ளதாக கருதிய அனுமன் அவரை வரவேற்றார் ஆனால் சனி பகவானோ அனுமனை பிடித்துக் கொள்ளப்போவதாகக் கூறி திடிக்கிட வைத்தார் . உடனே ஹனுமன் தெய்வப் பணி முடிந்த உடன் என்னை பிடித்துக் கொள் என்றார் அதைப் புறக்கணித்த சனீஸ்வரர் அனுமனை பிடித்துக்கொள்வதிலே குறியாக இருந்தார் வேறு வழி இன்றி அனுமன் சம்மதிக்க சனி பகவான் அவரது தலையில் ஏறி அமர்ந்தார் சனி பகவானின் சுமையினால் ஹனுமன் பணி செய்ய முடியவில்லை இதைக்கண்டு வானரங்கள் சோர்ந்தன பாலம் கட்டும் பணி தடைப்பட்டது இதைக் கண்டு வருந்திய அனுமன் சனி பகவானிடம் என் கால்களை பிடித்து கொண்டால் சுமை குறைந்து பணியை தொடர முடியும் என்றார் அதை ஏற்று அனுமனின் தலையில்லிருந்து சனி பகவான் அவரது கால்களை பிடிக்க முயன்றார் அப்போது ஹனுமன் சனி பகவானை தனது காலில் மிதித்துக் கொண்டார் தப்பிக்க முடியாமல் தவித்த சனி பகவான் ராம பக்த ஹனுமனுக்கே இவ்வளவு பலம் உள்ளது என்றால் ராமருக்கு எவ்வாறு இருக்கும் என சிந்தித்து ராமரிடம் சென்று அவரது நாமத்தை உச்சரிப்பவரை துன்புறுத்த மாட்டேன் என்றார் அதை ஏற்று ராமர் சனியை அனுமனிடமிருந்து விடுபடச் செய்தார் இந்த வரலாற்றை உணர்த்தும் வண்ணம் ஆஞ்சநேயர் சனிபகவானை காலால் அழுத்தி பிடித்து இருப்பது போன்ற காட்சியில் இங்கு அருள் பாளிக்கிறார் இதனால் இந்த கால வீர ஆஞ்சநேயரை வணங்கினால் சனி தோஷம் நெருங்காது என சான்றோர்கள் கூறியுள்ளனர்.
