When Agathiyar ignored them thinking that he was a child Balagan and refused to accept it, Mother Parasakthi appeared before Agathiyar and Lord Shiva appeared to say that Agathiyar was none other than my Arutchelvan Murugan. Lord Ganesha also rejoiced. Thus it is said that Murugan got the name Sivasubramaniyar. In such a special revision Sivasubramanian sits facing east and bestows blessings. He has six faces and twelve hands. Sitting on a peacock, he looks like Vayalur Murugan. He has Valli on the right and Deivana on the left. And Idumban is near Swami. To the right of the Moolavar Sannathi is the Ganesha Sannathi and to the left is the Kasi Viswanathar and Kasi Visalachchi Sannathi. Upon entering the temple, the Tuvajasthambam altar and the peacock are located. Datsinamoorthy is in the goshtam when he comes around the temple. There are separate shrines of Nagar shrines and Rahu Ketu at the back of the shrine. There is a separate shrine for the Navagrahas. The highlight of this place is the presence of the Sun with his two wives on the Navagraha. There is a beautiful tank in front of the temple.</span>

When Agathiyar ignored them thinking that he was a child Balagan and refused to accept it, Mother Parasakthi appeared before Agathiyar and Lord Shiva appeared to say that Agathiyar was none other than my Arutchelvan Murugan. Lord Ganesha also rejoiced. Thus it is said that Murugan got the name Sivasubramaniyar. In such a special revision Sivasubramanian sits facing east and bestows blessings. He has six faces and twelve hands. Sitting on a peacock, he looks like Vayalur Murugan. He has Valli on the right and Deivana on the left. And Idumban is near Swami. To the right of the Moolavar Sannathi is the Ganesha Sannathi and to the left is the Kasi Viswanathar and Kasi Visalachchi Sannathi. Upon entering the temple, the Tuvajasthambam altar and the peacock are located. Datsinamoorthy is in the goshtam when he comes around the temple. There are separate shrines of Nagar shrines and Rahu Ketu at the back of the shrine. There is a separate shrine for the Navagrahas. The highlight of this place is the presence of the Sun with his two wives on the Navagraha. There is a beautiful tank in front of the temple.
